The Brand
DCI Biologicals has set its goals of being a leader in the plasma industry. They provide plasma to pharmaceutical companies around the world. They have 29 centers throughout the United States. The plasma they collect is used to manufacture life-saving drugs and therapies.
The Vision
As similar competing centers have atmospheres reminiscent of a poorly ran governmental institution, Link Architecture extended the idea of a modern, warm and friendly atmosphere. Spaces were specifically designed to provide a more organized, efficient flow of patients and staff. Not only did we guide them through our process, they guided us through theirs so we had a better understanding of how to make their donors feel more comfortable in their centers.
The Solution
Each renovation was approximately 10,000 sf. The spaces include a 40-50 bed donor floor, laboratory, donor processing areas , reception areas, exam rooms and internal support spaces. After redesigning several of their centers, DCI Biologicals has grown to trust us in extending their brand to the rest of their centers throughout the country. These changes have put back the human element in donating a precious resource needed to save lives.
