The Brand
Trammell Crow was founded in 1948. A real estate development and investment firm dedicated to the fundamental principle of building value. At the heart of building value is a commitment to create the right product in the right market for their clients while supporting quality economic growth for the community.
The Vision
During the start of the economic downturn, developments were put on hold or stopped completely because of uncertain times. Trammell Crow saw a light at the end of the downturn — industrial space. Austin was still at a shortage so they planned on attracting the first occupants following the recession. One of Trammell Crow's brand values included creating the right product in the right market. They contacted Link Architecture because they can count us to help keep that promise. Material costs were high and lease rates were down. This meant utilizing our refined process to maximize the budget and mitigate any risk without sacrificing quality of the development.
The Result
Buildings 8 & 9 represented 225,800 sf of additional space to an established multi-building industrial park. The property was 100% leased shortly after completion. No other new industrial properties were planned or executed successfully during this economic cycle.
