Alpha Xi Delta Sorority House Remodel

As a nationwide sorority, Axid was looking to increase enrollment. They believe the main reason for low recruitment was the aging building built in 1965. In that era of 60's simple modernism, it may have worked well. The simple retro-modern style, unfortunately, did not resonate well with today's sororities. Classic Greek architecture was requested. On a meager budget and accelerated timeline, many firms would have walked away. Link Architecture welcomed the challenge. After addressing issues of poor storm drainage, mold and asbestos, we were able to manipulate the scope without detracting from the original design concept or exceeding the budget. We successfully avoided regulatory pitfalls and administered the construction over the summer college break. They have exceeded their enrollment goals this year.

"We were tired of being stuck in a 1960's box so we asked Link Architecture to design us a beautiful, 'Gone with the Wind,' greek revival. They delivered!"

National American University

National American University, an accredited higher education facility, was new to Austin and contacted Link Architecture to act as their local project representative. We worked closely with their space planning team to convert a large grocery store into a university campus before the semester began. Several obstacles such as an uncooperative landlord and reworking existing infrastructure were resolved before implementing their brand requirements in time for the upcoming school semester.

St. Andrews Episcopal Upper School

At the time, St. Andrews Episcopal consisted of a lower/middle school. They wanted to add an upper school to complete their education offering and to compete with other local parochial institutions. Comprehensively master-planned, but built in phases to address the natural growth pattern of their student population, the hill country inspired buildings were set in a quadrangle-style to reflect the formal organization of notable higher education institutions. The completed development ensured St. Andrew's position as a premier private school and currently attracts top faculty and students.
