Link Architecture joined forces with L.M. Holder III, FAIA to create the Brazos Place Condominiums. Originally The Commodore Perry Hotel, this building was later converted to the Perry Brooks office building, the adaptive reuse of this building to a high-end residential and office high-rise with street level retail proved to be a success. We served as architect of record for the condo interiors. Our project management of the construction helped bring the design to reality in a timely and efficient manner.
This property had several identities in the past. Once a 1980's apartment complex, it was later converted into senior living/retirement community. Now, it is private waterfront villa residences, a private marina and yacht club and spa. Link Architecture was commissioned to design their brand's premier spaces which included the unique Penthouse suite, the Gate House Suite as well as the Commercial Clubhouse Kitchen. Nothing was spared to ensure these spaces supported high-end resort living.
Our project management skills were put to the test in this 72 unit high-rise in downtown San Francisco. Our team was charged with cutting several million dollars out of the project budget after construction had already commenced. This redesign included a comprehensive redesign of the structural system and wholesale unit plan changes. Construction never slowed and our tight integration with the contractor and entire design team made the building an on time and on budget success story.
